How much sand for a Little Tikes Turtle Sandbox?

Short answer
Little Tikes says the Turtle Sandbox "holds more than 100lbs of sand." That's two 50 lb bags of play sand; buy a third if you want it full to the rim or to top up later.
The Turtle Sandbox
The current Turtle Sandbox measures 38 × 34 × 10.5 in and is for ages 1 to 6. Its shell is the lid: it "covers sand area and snaps and tethers in place." Keep it on when nobody's playing; the CDC warns that cats and raccoons use uncovered sandboxes as latrines.
100 lb of play sand is about 1 cu ft (Sakrete rates a 50 lb bag at half a cubic foot).
